Blends in well and is very effective

I've tried some other mineral sunscreens, and was disappointed at the lack of absorption into the skin. This sunscreen absorbs easily, and seems very effective

Great Natural Product
September 26, 2013
I love this product, and so far all of the many products I have bought from Yes to. People complain that it does not rub in as well and leaves your face white. Yes, it is slightly white but I did not find it to be horribly white. However, this is what happens when you use normal products. I am ordering more of this because I would rather be a little white than put harsh chemicals on my body that are in other sunscreens. I especially liked this product for the pool and ocean because the white factor is not as big of a deal when you are swimming. For me, it lasted a long time in Hawaii.

Does not work, leaves white film
March 17, 2015
I am so sad with how horrible this product is because I love this brand so much and use ever single one of their products. It does not rub in, it leaves a chalky film, & it does not protect you from the sun. Unfortunately I am at an outdoor sporting event & I am extremely sun burned even after applying this product an hour before going outside and three additional times while in the sun. I am sitting in the shade and missing out on watching the final 3 hours of matches and have paid for seated tickets tomorrow for about 10 hours of tennis that I will not be able to watch because I don't think I can stand sitting in the sun anymore since I'm burned. I would absolutely not recommend this product & I honestly don't know how anyone can use this & be protected from the sun, or be okay with the white chalky layer it leaves on you. It literally looks like I rolled around in chalk. I would, however recommend every single other product!!

consistency of glue- terrible to apply
December 1, 2014
worked fine but impossible to use. thick sticky formula barely rubbed in, and because of it was guaranteed to be streaky. my bf even complained that it was painful becuase of how hard I had to try to get it to spread over skin. terrible

The perfect sunscreen, but...
August 9, 2014
I love just about everything about this sunscreen: the ingredients, the SPF, and the gentleness. It is even suitable to my very sensitive, acne prone skin. Only if this product comes with clear zinc, it would be perfect.

Wouldn't recommend for sensitive skin
July 4, 2014
I tried this product hoping it would be the end of my all-natural sunscreen search. It smelled good but left white streaks everywhere it was applied (it was thoroughly rubbed in). Consistency was very chalky and nearly impossible to remove. Tried exfoliating twice with no success and I have since broken out all over my chest and shoulders. The search continues...

Does not rub in!
September 11, 2013
I love yes products but this one did not empress me. The sunblock does not rub in easily an leaves you a shade of purple/white. I love that it's all natural but just too much of a hassle to put on.

Great coverage
August 15, 2013
It really protects my skin, but it does leave a hint of whiteness if you don't rub it in really, really well. It is very thick. I have used it around my pool all summer long and have felt it has given me great protection, even in the water. I like how gentle it is and also use it on my grandson who has eczema.

Vegas 104 degrees
August 5, 2013
I was in the pool in Vegas while it was 104 this past weekend and used this product for my first true test. I burn very easy so I was nervous but Yes To hasn't let me down with any other product so I thought I'd give it a go. I was in the pool for well over two hours with one application of the SPF 30 and I didn't burn at all. Usually I wear 30 with other brands and will burn at least a little. I honestly was shocked SPF 30 did the trick. Great product!!!! My only slight complaint is it takes more effort to rub it in but at least I'm covering myself with unhealthy chemicals! I also didn't break out which will happen sometimes when I use Coppertone or other greasy sunscreens.

Easy to apply and doesn't leave skin white like other zinc oxide products
July 17, 2013
I'm very happy with this sunscreen! It has zinc oxide but really does rub into the skin like a lotion. The cucumber fragrance is light and pleasant and there is no white residue to worry about.

Something's a little off
July 12, 2013
I am a huge fan of the natural-ness and protection, but it leaves a white film all over your body and is very hard to rub in. I also feel like I'm using a ton of it (a little does NOT go a long way) which makes me feel like it's going to be gone within a few days of going to the beach if you use it all over your body. The scent isn't bothersome at all, I just wish it was more workable. I will probably still continue to use it just for the natural factor and deal with the rest.

Great protection but dislike the white film
July 10, 2013
This is the first Yes To product I haven't absolutely adored. I'm fair-skinned and found the sun protection to be great and long-lasting during a 12-hour day at a music festival. However, the white film it left on my hands drove me crazy. It felt sticky and chalky and I found myself wanting to scrub my hands. I know this has to do with the absorption properties so if there's any way to improve that, I'd purchase this again. Until then, I have to sadly pass on using this.

Goes on smoothly!
July 4, 2013
This sunscreen is a great improvement from the previous Yes to Carrots sunscreen which separated and was impossible to put on. This one is creamy, smells fantastic and absorbs into skin easily.

Buy regular sunscreen
July 3, 2013
This does not last as long as regular sunscreen (was burnt in a short time) AND it is super streaky even if you rub all the way in and it seems like you're done- once you get outside, try again! This time, however, the sunscreen is dry and won't rub in.

great sunscreen
July 2, 2013
Yes, it goes on a little white but considering it is a barrier sunscreen, it is somewhat expected. I don't mind the white because I know it is not chemicals soaking into my skin and my kids skin. I like the smell. It smells fresh and clean. Although I can see how some people wouldn't like it because it does last all day.

Good for Sensitive Skin
June 30, 2013
I have extremely sensitive skin and this sunscreen doesn't irritate it. It is the only sunscreen that hasn't made my face develop a rash. As far as absorption goes, I find that it absorbs much better if (1) your skin is dry and (2) you mix it with a bit of lotion as you rub it in. I also wish it came in a larger size; I burned through a bottle in just a couple weeks of near-daily use. I like the scent, but those who are scent-sensitive should be aware that the smell lasts throughout much of the day after application.

Strong scent and white film on skin
June 14, 2013
Unfortunately the strong scent and white film left on the skin (it does not absorb well) makes this product a no-go for me. Like the natural ingredients but wish it spread as smoothly as lotion and disappeared. Because I have asthma and significant allergies the strong scent does not work for me.

Vegan and Cruelty Free Sunscreen
May 29, 2013
I love this product for the fact that it is vegan and for the fact that it is cruelty free. It smells great and goes on easily. However, it comes in an extremely small quantity and realistically would not get me through much of the Summer at all. I would love to see this product offered in a larger quantity so that customers can get through the Summer using only one or two bottles. Overall it is a very good product that I would continue to purchase and use!

Too thick
May 10, 2013
Smells great but filled the pores on my body and it looked like I had white dots. I had a hard time rubbing it in all the way. My daughter has SUPER fair skin so it was ok for her.

Great product.
May 9, 2013
This protects very well and I did not mind about the white residue bc I put my makeup on top of it. I love the high amount of active ingredients in this. Please do not change this product.

I love it for a few reasons
March 15, 2013
It's thicker than what I'm used to and initially it made my face just look deathly pale. However, I went with it because I needed to see how it worked in practice. I take jiu-jitsu classes during which I sweat like mad and during grappling my face gets smushed around. It's the first sunscreen I ever tried that didn't run into my eyes. In short order, I realized I could use less of it, combine it with my foundation and voila! Perfection. It enhances my foundation by making it look more natural and giving it real staying power. As a bonus, it smells terrific.

Very white

It's leaved white residue in my pores after a long time, it protects well but not well blended...I mix with body cream to emulsify
